Black Widow Bows
#1
Well im selling the Bowtech Extreme Solo and am joining my Father in the Traditional Archery. I find that its a lot more fun and I really enjoy shooting the ol recurves and long bows. I went to the traditional archery expo over in Oregon, tested out several different Black widow bows from the one piece recurve to the take down to the long bow, let me tell you that i really fell in love with the Black Widow Take Down Bow. I just drilled the target, every shot from about twenty yards and i find myself confident in shooting traditional as i have been shooting a lightning lonbow right nwo faily well, to wrap this post up im selling my bowtech and saving up for the Black Widow Take Down, either the greybark or ironwood im not sure which one

Archer18 Good choice going with traditional tackle. I don't think you could have chose a better bow either
I have spent a ton of money trying different bows, longbows and recurves and wish I would have just started out with a widow. Great folks to deal with and for me they make the best bow out there. The try before you buy program is great because not everybody likes them so it's a good choice to give one a try before ya klunk down that much cash. Good Luck

Buy a used one off EBAY, the women-outdoors board, tradgang or other. You'll be able to always recoup 80-100% of your investment buying used if you ever decide to.I buy second bows ... uh, a lot, and rarely if ever lose money on them. I have shot a lot of bows, only a few "fit" me
Good luck lugging the heavy, ugly Widow around

Archer18, I'll second Troys vote. I too have been thru LOTS of bows & never found anything else as satisfying to shoot as my trusty MA II, aptly named "Ole #1". Even so, certainly no single bow is right for everyone & the advise to "try before you buy" is very sound. A few shots at an archery rondevous may be misleading & won't tell you a fraction of what you'll find out shooting in your backyard for a week. I'm pretty sure that the amount of shipping charges on the try-out bow will be subtracted from your order, but you should ask BW about that to be sure. Heck, call 'em up when you're ready & find out what they have for you to try.
