I had a bow made by Charles "Chuck" Mangold of Dynasty Bows about 6 years ago. I believe he was from Colon, Michigan. I got his ad from Traditional Bowhunter Magazine. Glenn St.Charles actually looked at the bow and said it was one of the prettiest bows he had ever seen. I was quite honored, actually. But the one who should have been honored was Chuck Mangold! I'm about ready for a new bow, but can't seem to locate him. Does anyone know if he's still making bows? I would gladly trade him a couple of kbaknives knives!

The traditional bowyer market is so crowded these days... Quite a few exceptional bowyers have come and gone because it's hard to make a living at it. I'm afraid I've never heard of Chuck Mangold and can't help, but I wish you good luck finding him.

Arthur,
In my opinion Pat Ley (Sley Bows) made one of the most bomb proof recurves, if not the strongest built recurve, of all time.
He quit because there is little money in it.
Especially for someone with an engineering degree like Pat has.
Real shame as his recurve was, imo, the best buy on the planet!
Sag.
