Well I' ve done it this time. I was huntin' this mornin' and low and behold this big ole' buck came right down this trail that I was set-up on. He locked up at about 30 yds. and stayed there for what seemed like forever ! This thing was awesome ! 16 points ! He had stickers and drop tines ! I am usually not a rack hunter but this thing had me mezmerized ! Finally he worked his way to about 15 yards and turned for a broadside shot ! Then as luck would have it he turned his head and looked away from my direction. I drew my longbow and sent my RRA cedar arrow and grizzly broadhead flying toward its mark. I made a perfect shot ! Arrow went right where I lookin' ! I could not have shot more in the middle of his brawltine' s if I had to ! Perfect feildgoal !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh well, I will always remember that 3-point buck !

Well at least you got to see the big boy
One positve is that your shooting skills are honed. You shot exactly where you were looking[

As one who missed the same bear with 3 shots I can feel the pain. All those hours of practice, blown cause a big set of.... antlers shows up.
Keep up the good work, at least your hunting were the big ones hang out

Better luck next time Bill. I have shot with you and I know you can hit what you are aiming at, just remember to look at the ribcage next time. Hope to see you again next year at KK. Good luck the rest of the season. John
