Sorry, Man. No idea about the bow...but the link is too cool. Bookmarked it to read when I get time. Love reading about the history of great bowyers and such. Really neat stuff. I've never seen the "brush nocks" before. How did they work?

Jaw,
Did a search on e-bay. There's a few Black Bears for sale ranging from $40.00-$103.50. Here's a link to the nicest one.

Broker,
I checked out both sites you referred me too. I loved the first one, very informative! The e-bay addy you gave me is also very close to my bow, however the limbs on mine are black but the riser and limb laminates are exaclty the same. Thank you so much for your help on this Broker! Much appreciated my firend. Hopefully one day I can return the favor. May Gods Blessings rain down upon all of ya'll!........Jaw<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

Good thing my Chek-mate came with a Tradman string. I hear he is going out the string business, and I will need a new string soon. Gasp! Might have to buy from Chad <img src=icon_smile_dissapprove.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_angry.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_dead.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_evil.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_blackeye.gif border=0 align=middle>. Just kidding Chad.....I will be glad to order a string from you when the time comes (only cause I don't plan on selling my bow <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>).

RE: Whats it worth?

In response to PowDucks question obout brush nocks. I believe they would prevent brush from getting stuck between the string and the limb of the bow. I had some in the late 60s or early 70s that were made of rubber. they slipped over the limb and under the string and prevented weeds and brush from catching there. I wonder if anyone still makes something like this. I belive that is what they were called.
