RE: American Leathers--Big Shot

I got it, but had to send it back. After several attempts, I couldn' t get one of my fingers in all the way. When I got it in about 1/2-way, it went numb in a few minutes. I know they are supposed to fit very tight to begin with, but the one finger was a bit too snug. Needed a couple of other modifications to fit me right also, so I made a new trace, included some notes, and sent it back. Hopefully my new one will be here soon.

I was curious, I tried a friend' s (Rogue1, Wayne Wallen) Big Shot glove Saturday, but it was too big for me. I guess I could get used to one that fit, but the fingers seem overly padded & stiff. Can' t feel the string at all, but Wayne says that what he likes about it. Sure is a high quality glove, and I wouldn' t go through 4 or 5 gloves a year like I do now (wear a hole in the ring finger). I' ve also got used to a palm type glove. Oh well......... decisions, decisions........That' s what we get for messing with all this high tech stuff like nylon finger stalls.
Have you melted down in that Mississippi heat? It' s not been too bad here in Kentucky this summer.

I' ve heard they get a lot better once they are broken in--I' m always looking for something to help compensate for my release!

Been pretty hot here, but not as hot as usual for August--don' t think we have hit 100 yet (heat index has been way over 100, but not the actual temp). Since the summer has been cooler than usual, I' m hoping for a cold winter--come on Oct. 1st!

Once they break in and you get used to them, you will like them. When I got my first one and started shooting it I thought NO WAY, after 2 weeks I ordered a second to have 2.
I love mine, but like they say about opinions, everbody has one.
As with anytime you are dealing with change, it takes time.

Got my new one today, and it seems to fit perfectly--they made the exact changes I requested. Hope to try it out later today and see how I like it--if it works out, I will be ordering a spare.

Well Chad, are you going to give us a report on your new glove? I still haven' t ordered one, been pretty busy, & haven' t had time. I was curious how you liked yours too.

RE: American Leathers--Big Shot

I haven' t had a chance to shoot with it much, but I am liking it more and more. The first time I shot with it, I only had time for a dozen or so arrows, so I really couldn' t tell much about it. The next time, I shot a round at a friends course, along with several practice arrows. Did ok, but it still felt foreign to me, and I swapped back to my Super Glove for the second round. Yesterday, I tried it again, and soon forgot I had a different glove on--I figure when I get it broken in, I will like it a lot. Not sure yet if I will order a back up right away, but this one is a keeper at least.
