The best hunter, and one of the better shots I know, used an old Pearson Cougar for years--killed gobs of animals with it, and took home lots of trophies from tournaments. The only reason he quit using it is because it delaminated on him. Another crack shot I know shoots best with an old Bear "Black Bear" that he got either free or he paid $25 for it.

The bow I got right now is a Bear Kodiak Mag... I've been shooting it for two seasons now and I bought it for 20 bucks from a old guy I work with... Thing darn near looks new... I'm figuring I saved about 200 bucks!!!
