Anyone going? I plan on it, although my shooting is not that great lately.
It will be held near Collierville, TN at the Twin Oaks club (home of the TN Classic). Dates are July 16,17, and 18. It will be hot, probably humid, but a dang good course and an excellent club hosting.

Nobody? Missing out on a chance to shoot at a great club. I still haven't decided if I will compete or not--if I do, it will be in the selfbow class, although I'm not shooting anything very good lately.

Think it's about an 80% chance of rain at any weekend shoot in the summer--dang near always rained at the old Howard Hill, at ther Jerry Pierce, Cloverdale, Kentucky Klassic, etc.
Or are you talking about next weekend? Probably rain then too. If it does, we'll just play in the rain.

Hey Chad, good to hear from you again. Good luck next weekend if you shoot. I would like to shoot IBO someday if they ever increase the number of targets they shoot during the weekend. Traveling the long distances and shooting 40 targets just doesn't make sense to me. I guess I could consider it a social thing and visit with old friends. Do you think Tom will shoot? I have received pics of fish he has caught, I don't know how much he shoots anymore. Haven't heard from Vic in years.

Twin Oaks is going to have a separate competition, I think, so we'll have more to shoot at. I agree--travelling a long way for 40 targets is hard to justify. If nothing else, they will have a practice range and I bet there will be someone there scratching on a selfbow.
Tom may come, but he won't shoot. He just has surgery on his arm and can't pull a bow yet. He is going to Denton Hill though, if nothing else he'll run his mouth. I plan on staying at his house--cheaper than a motel room.
Ain't heard from Vic in a long time either.

I've driven to just outside of Fort Worth to shoot in the TX State Longbow Championship--one round each day is all you are allowed there too. I hope to make it again--last time I shot it my leg was in a cast and I had to take pain pills to make it around the course. Didn't shoot very good, but didn't care...
