Default Grizzlystik spine choices?

Anyone use these? Wanted to try them out on some martin longbows I have in 45 and 55 lbs. From what I see it seems you simply buy one of three sizes and simply cut them down to length and hope for the best? From what I see i should get the sitka for my weight bows. Is that all there is? Like the idea of a very heavy shaft to quiet down the bow and for inertia/pass thru shots. Any experiences or knowledge on picking up the correct shafts? Thanks for any help.
