After working 25 days straight they decided to give me a day off so I got busy and made the new limbs.

I'll have to get some better pics when I get my good camera back.

So what do you all think??????????

I love Tigerwood under glass.

Maple

Elk Antler

Looks great. Just a question if do not mind; Are you concerned about all the run offs? I know its a glass sandwich bow, I was just wondering if the run offs are of a concern?

In a word no:D

Have not had one fail because of the grain run off, the lams are really only there for show, the glass and bamboo do most of the work.

Dave.

I think we really should stick to the original plan and hunt Elk:s2:

But hey if we tag out early then we can go looking for wood.

No worries mate just let me know what you want:wink:

Kanga, what combo of tapers and parallels do you use in your limbs. Have you tried using a automotive cut off saw/wheel to cut out the limbs ? Works fast and is cheap.

Greg.

This model has a taper, a bamboo parallel then a reverse taper.

I have not tried a cut off wheel to profile the limbs, the belt sander with a 40 grit belt is fast as well:wink:
