What do you get for donating the bow to the e-zine Russ or is it just an act of kindness? Looks cool.
Guess you could say it's an act of kindness

I must be getting soft in my old age

I finally got the lams cut for the new limbs after the 1st set developed a crack in the glass.
Here they are ready to be tapered to thickness.

It's Tigerwood and some really nice Maple for the belly.
The wedges are going to be Pecan with Shedura limb butt overlays and Elk Antler tip overlays.
As soon as I can get 2 days off I will get them made and onto the riser.

Crack? Crack in glass. If I wanted cracks I would stick with selfbows.

Why do you think they cracked? Tension?

you ever going to bring back that pecan riser?

Mark.

I don't think tension had anything to do with. I never got a chance to fit them to the riser

I think it had something to do with the crazy weather we've had down here.

you ever going to bring back that pecan riser?
Yeah I have a stack of it in the shop cut up into riser block size.
I have not checked the moisture level on them in a couple of months last time I did it was at 15%. I will wait till it gets down around the 8% mark and try another one
