String

The String cut into the limbs at least 2 inches on one end and about an 1 inch on the other. Basically when I pulled back and released the arrow flew no more than 5 or 6 feet and then I noticed my brace height was wrong so I checked bow over better. Not sure if bow is worth fixing had already lost 5 lbs of draw weight over the years.

Sure a good bow is worth fixing. If it just busted off, it can be piked, which will increase the weight. If it is too heavy, it can be side tillered to drop the weights.

Here are the pics of the damage on limbs. By all means I love this bow and will fix it if I can.

Bill.

How far down the limbs do the cracks go?

You can pike them with no problems, I would reinforce the new tips to prevent it happening again.

Yep, it will take some work. The reflex is a little more dynamic than I had thought. That might require a delamination and some new glass put on. It is a little wores than I had thought. If you pike it, and side tiller it, it will not be the same bow it was.

By the way, I made a recurve just like that. You would think it is the same bow. lol.
