You ain't kiddin about those RRA's Jaw - best in the land IMO!! Bill, I'd GUESS that if you went to 125 gr heads those arrys ya have may fly good. Heck, they may fly great as is. All she's ever digested up to now were RRA cedars, & didn't seem real picky about em....maybe 50-55's would work good for your draw. Prolly gonna take some experimenting, as our draw lengths are pretty far apart. Be sure & post the results etc or email me, I'd like to keep up w/your adventures w/her! <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

I shoot only RRA tapered Cedar shafts 5/16 and 11/32 55 spine with three 5 inch shield cut feathers and 125 grain tip. My bow im currently shooting is 45@27 but I like to shoot my husbands heavier weight bows!

For my 62# Sentman longbow, I'm shooting tapered lodgepole pine (heaver and IMHO tougher than cedar) with orange crown and 5&quot; high-profile shield-cut Gateway feathers. Orange hen, orange camo cock feather. Bohning classic nocks. Finished arrows are just over 580 grains. 125 grain Snuffer broadheads for hunting.

For my 51# ChekMate recurve, the combination is parallel POCs with 5.5&quot; shield cut TruFlite feathers: white hen, red barred cock. Shafts are an &quot;osage-ish&quot; hue with a rich burgundy crown. Black and silver cresting. 125 grain Ribteks for hunting. I also use 2016s out of this bow for target stuff.

BTW: After shooting the lodgepole pine, I may never go back to POC. This is tough stuff. Straight, too.

Rogue River Archery (tapered Port Orford Cedar)
75-80# spine
31&quot; BOP
125 grain points
[email protected] Chek-Mate Crusader longbow

I've shot Norweigian Pine, Lodgepole Pine, Chundoo, Ash, Maple, Douglas Fir, Sitka Spruce, Beeman carbons, aluminum, and maybe a couple I have forgotten about. I always go back to POC. RRA makes some of, if not the best availible (in my opinion).

Hey Tuffcity, how do those Bemans fly out of your bow? I shoot a 55# recurve too and I just ordered some Beman 400's thinking they might be worth a try. Currently I shoot GameTracker 45/60 carbons, 29 BOP, 125 grain point. My bow is a Shakespeare Kaibab 55# @ 28&quot; and I draw 28.5&quot;

rose city shafts, I taper them myself...getting ready to fart around with footing and barrel tapering here real quick! Also have made some self nocks...none of which look for crap but I think they will work fine...now if I only had a wee bit more time. Just got my plans for a 14ft cedar strip canoe and have been working 10-14 hour days the past few days...fun! It looks like its going to be permanent, man I wish the army heard of OVERTIME!!!
