ORIGINAL: Kanga Ok I think it's about time I let the cat out of the bag or should I say my new limbs from under the bubble wrap:d  I still have to rip them lenght wise down to about 1/8" then run them through the drum sander to taper them. The woods are Yellowheart and Makore with a sliver of Canarywood to take up any kerf left by the bandsaw. There is still some epoxy on the joint but the drum sander will take care of that.;) He actually lives pretty close to you. ;) |

Thats a nice looking limb. He actually lives pretty close to you. He does? Actually I done this before I found his web site[8D] But it is OHHHHHHH NOOOOOOOO now I just found out the table saw is a little too rough on them, they blew apart at the join as I was ripping them.[:@] Looking at Harpers site I can see where I went wrong so it's back to the drawing board. Gonna have to make up afence for the band saw which should not be near as rough on them as the table saw. |
