Kentucky Klassic
Any of ya' ll going? 12th and 13th of next month--I plan on being there, and I know a few folks here will be also. I' ll be camped out across from the bathrooms/showers. Rugged course, especially if it rains, but a great time. Non-competitive, lots of vendors to check out, lots of bows to try out. This is the one I call my vacation shoot--always have a ball with friends there.

RE: Kentucky Klassic
Most of the guys in our club will be there. I was going to come down with Flinttim, but he has other commitments. It' s about 4 hours drive for me, unless I ride with some of the guys from Louisville. You will see the ITBA (indiana trad bowhunters) banner flying. stop in and introduce yourself. Tell them I sent ya, but DON' T BET THE FARM ON OUTSHOOTING THOSE GUYS!! They' re tough!.....

Hey Broker, Al Cole won the Hunter Recurve class at the IBO World Indoor Shoot this weekend. maybe now he will be back up on our course.

RE: Kentucky Klassic
I saw that Al had won earlier this evening. He' s a class act and is deserving of the honor.

RE: Kentucky Klassic
well I will be there with a few toys and my wife[:' (] who will be holding my leash so I don' t spend any more money [X(]lol Looking forward to meeting some of you in person:)

RE: Kentucky Klassic
Stupid question, where is the Kentucky classic? Wouldn' t mind going if I can drive there from CT.
|
RE: Kentucky Klassic
It' s at the Pulaski County Park at Nancy, Kentucky. That' s about 10-12 miles west of Somerset in south-central Kentucky (right on the Tennessee border).
Hope to see y' all there. Darrel |
RE: Kentucky Klassic
CT, you can drive but it' s a pretty good skip--would be great to see you there though!
Darrel, I think Alan will bring steaks and stuff like he usually does, but after talking to a bud I think I will mainly eat out--I was going to bring some shrimp and mudbugs to boil (Cajun style), but then I thought about how hot weather, a long ride, seafood, and food poisoning go together so well--so much for that great idea. I' ll bring some drinks and sandwich fixins in a cooler, but supper (dinner for you Yankees) will be on the town. John, sure hope you can make it. I got something to show you..........:D Chad |
RE: Kentucky Klassic
Troy,
I wonder if we' ll have new bows to shoot? Wouldn' t want to go to the dance without a new bow:D |
RE: Kentucky Klassic
I' m gonna be there for sure. It' s a great time.

RE: Kentucky Klassic
I don' t think we are going to eat as well this year as we did last. Some of the gals that did most of the cooking last year won' t be there this year. I guess I' ll go back to my usual camping chili and hamburgers. We will still have the same ole good time thou. Lots of fun shooting with friends and meeting new ones.

RE: Kentucky Klassic
Well, well, LBR another happy convert. That extra virus that you put on those
Crusaders really works. Can' t believe there was enough left to convert such a hard core recurve man as Troy;):D. Just goes to show good minds think alike:D:D Too bad I can' t get to the KK. Just did a side job this weekend and have some $$ burning a hole in my pocket[>:][>:]. That virus just won' t go away. Troy good luck and happy buying/trading! |
RE: Kentucky Klassic
Just talked with the guy at the campground, looks like water is gonna cover part (10) of the campsites by the weekend. Wouldn' t take a reversation for a site. I' m gonna come down & take a chance on getting a site, maybe someone (Chad?) will share if they' re full?

RE: Kentucky Klassic
Chad:
The whole club went down Saturday. I didn' t see your booth? Sorry I missed you. Judging from Saturday' s turnout, attendance was down quite a bit. Too bad. Multiply everything you saw by a factor of 25, and you get the scope of Cloverdale. About 1500 shooters in a weekend last year(don' t quote me on that figure) Hope you can make it. |
RE: Kentucky Klassic
John,
Chad didn' t have a booth at the KK. He was just going to have fun. He' s at the camp ground across from the showers. I was suppose to go but I was too busy at work to make the 14 hour+ plus one way trip. I' m going to Cloverdale though. David Fuerst |
