Had a thread a week or so ago about problems with my Gateway feathers not sticking. Got alot of good advice, but 4 out of 10 just fell off. Thought I' d lost my mind. Thursday night I had some new feathers out and noticed something strange about the Gateways, some were not right wing, but left wing! Same problem with both packages. MAde me feel pretty stupid that I' d not seen it earlier, after wasting 2 50 count packages. I bought these from Cabelas and should have returned them but didn' t have all the stuff to do it and chalked it up to a brain fart. E-mailed Gateway to tell them what happened. Todd Vaaler responded and told me how they do their packaging and QC. We both figured that the packages got opened at Cabelas and mixed up there. The packages were real dirty. Well Todd is going to send me new feathers. I told him that I wasn' t really looking for new ones or really conplaining, just passing along what happened. Said before I switched to using the Dark Side feathers, he' d send some new ones to me. Wow, they just got a customer for life!!!!!!

I buy mine by the 100 pack from Kelly Peterson. Best prices on the net.

I buy them by the hundred pack from Kelly also. I also bought 100 high profile shields from Troy at Sticks and Feathers. Both guys are great to deal with. Have used Gateway for years and never had any problems.

That' s good to know...It does makes a difference in who I deal with..
I haven' t talked to Kelly in several years..He' s supposed to be coming to turkey hunt one of these spring seasons. Guess I need to e-mail him and reaffirm the invitation.
