Take Down LB Build a Long

I hate when a monkey wrench gets thrown in the works.
I was hoping to have this one finished last week end untill I noticed the lams where wrong.
Now I have my doubts if I will have it ready for opening day, which is 3 weeks tomorrow

Good luck with the Ossage and Boo

Oh I got the second part of project "Top Secret" finished going to plane it down some then cut it out here after dinner.
I will send the "USUAL" suspects a pic when I get it done

Just another quick up date to whats happening.
I still have not recieved the correct lams yet[:@]
So while I am waiting and getting a little testy I decided to jump ahead a few steps and mark out the riser grip and sight window for cutting.
I wont be doing any cutting or shaping untill I get the limbs made and the bow tillered.

As each day passes without the lams I am getting amore doubtful that I will be using this bow opening weekend

You always have a compound for backup!
you know for advertising purposes
You shoulda already been slinging sticks with this bow!

You haven't called and rasied a stink about your lams yet?

On another note does anyone know anyone that has a drum sander they dont want?
I have a sled on the way and gonna start making my own lams but need a drum sander to do the final grind on them.

It will all be worth while when you get it together! I did build a couple arrows with my home made inserts and they shot fine/great.May make some at 125 grain...since I have 6 foot of brass to work with and 100 gr broadheads are easier to come by!
Wonder what FOC I would have with 150 gr inserts? The bow is sure going to be purty Russ!

Well I have been sitting here looking at the riser and have decided I dont like the horizontal laminations on it so I have gone ahead and have another one in the heat box.
This one is all vertical laminations with Leopardwood on both sides, Canarywood, Purpleheart,Yellowheart and Bubinga as the other laminations.
When it comes out of the oven I will post a pic of it.

Here is what is going to be the new riser.

They are from the right.
Leopardwood,Canarywood,Purpleheart,Yellowheart,Bub inga,Purpleheart,Canarywood and Leopardwood.
When I cut out the sight window it will go Leopardwood,Canarywood,Purpleheart and into the Bubinga
It should look good

I called my supplier today and they said the lams shipped on Monday so I should have them Friday, Saturday at the latest so it looks like I will have the bow ready for opening week end.
So we can finally finish the build a long
