First Cut

Into the plywood riser
I got home early from work today so I was able to get a fair bit done to the plywood riser bow.
Unfortunately the overlays did not turn out how I wanted them so I had to redo those but I guess thats life and lucky they where not epoxied to the bow.
Anyway here is the first cut I made into the riser I like how the colors run into each other, they should look great with sanding and some poly over them.

Lets hope I can get home early tomorrow I might even be able to get it finished.

Looken good. What are the woods you used? Its hard to tell when they are dirty. Looks like some purple heart in there and maybe elm? Am I even close?

Hmmmmmmmm yeah ok[8D]

Been out in the shop sanding back the riser shape I am looking for to bring out the bestin color config.

Here it is with the rough riser shape still a lot more work to do but it is starting to look good. I did wet it down to get an idea of what it is going to look like under a few coats of poly.

Not a very good photo tho.
