once again need some advice : )
well i asked about getting a new recurve on the board a little while ago
got a lot of good reponses too, thanks all i originally was going to get a nice custom bow well my funds are now much lower, due to a new bicycle so i am stuck to one option Cabelas i have there card and use it all the time i have gained enough points to purchase any traditional bow they sell the couple i have looked at are as follow FB super kodiak martin howatt hunter now my uncle swears by bear he's a compond guy but had several recurves growing up, all bear, and he loved them i have never owned a bear so what do you all think of them? i don't really know much on Martin bows heard the name before but never really talked to someone that owns one what is your take on Martin bows? also i see Cabelas is got some new brand names i hadn't seen before anyone got some inside info on them here are the brands i eyeballed for a minute on the site predator hunter recurve impala delux takedown recurve black bear recurve bow thanks to all that reply good luck to all this year hope you all harvest a big, fat slob : ) |

I've had several Howatt Hunters and they've all been good bows. I've had several Bears and they've all been good bows. Martin always had a bit more speed. Bear was no slowpoke either, but felt smoother to draw. Both would consistently put arrows where you aimed them, and it was just up to you to aim them at the right spot. I haven't shot anything either Martin or Bear have made in the past 10 years though.
So....Between the Howatt Hunter and Super Kodiak, just chose the one you like best. That's all there is to THAT decision. predator hunter recurve impala delux takedown recurve black bear recurve bow |
