While at the trad show in Kalamazoo, I stoped by the Black Widow booth and was quite impressed with the SAG series from Black widow. The SAG looks very close in design to the CM Atilla. Being a CM fan (I have a Falcon and a Falcon Special) I was thinking about getting one of the Atillas, for the option of having a shorter hunting bow. Anyone out there have one or shot one? If so what do you think. I have a relatively short draw (27" ) so I don' t believe the shortness of the bow will be a problem.
Chad...what can you tell me. Can you get one made with more of a high wrist grip? The only one I have seen had more of a " longbow" stiyle grip?
Thanks

I really think you would be happier with a Raven over the Attila, especially if you like high-wrist. I honestly can' t shoot either one (the Raven or Attila) due to my draw length, but going on what the bowyer and others have told me, the Raven would be the better choice. The Atilla is made more for those that prefer a longbow grip on a recurve (50' s style?), but it may be possible to get it with a different grip--will have to check and see. A 27" draw will not be a problem on either one.

Thanks Chad.
I think the raven would be TOO short. Isn' t that like 52" or something?
Why do you say the Raven would be a better bow? If my memory serves me correctly, the Raven reminds me of an old Bear Super Mag " 48" that I had about 25 years ago. It was hard to shoot as it was so short.
Im not necessarily looking to make the Atilla grip high wrist, just looking to get a little more dish in there?

The Raven is a 52" , but not real finicky--at least not too bad as far as short bows go--it has a very forward set riser than helps. It is a better performer than the Atilla also. I still have to check and see how much the grip can be modified on the Atilla.

The Raven looks much like the BW TF. Had one ,kept the Raven.
It is (IMO) a real easy bow to shoot. Mine is #47@28' and I have no trouble with it. In fact I shoot a bit better with it than a couple of 60" recurves that I own.
As to too short...too short for what?

Just got with Marc--the Raven is also more forgiving because it is centershot (the Atilla is not) and he confirmed that is a little better performer. He reccomended the Raven over the Attila, but reccomends the 58" Hunter II over both--confused yet? lol
