Sounds to me with your set up being your drawing 30" is a bit light in the spine department I'm thinking. Are you shooting Aluminum arrows? What size?

no these are carbon fiber arrows. these where cheap arrows. i bought them years ago and all they say is explorer on them and 45-60. But i have some 400 grain arrows i can use but they do the same thing.

its ok, i might try to shoot my other arrows and hope that the spine is better.well c and im goin to try to do what chris w said and ill be back later to tell everyone what happen.

100 grain head on a 45-60lb with a 30 inch carbon arrow. might be a tad light. You might try a 125 grain tip and go from there. As for tunning carbons, you can add weight to the tips to lighten the spin or lessen the tip weight to increase the spine. Or you can cut you arrows down a bit toup the spine or leave them longer to decrease the spine.

well i started to get ok today and was doin really good. but then all the sudden the string snapped, it was a brand new string and now im mad.

Where did it break at? One of the loops?

Yea, the top lop broke. I mean they said it was becuase i keep the string on all the time. but i mean i shot eevryday and other people have told me to leave the string on if i shot it alot.

Probably had a rough spot in the string groove. Leaving the bow strung didn't cause the string to break. Compounds used to have dacron strings, and they stayed strung 24/7.

I had a longbow that constantly broke strings at the top loop. I smoothed it out and still ate strings. I ended up ordering some 450plus from chad, and havent' had issues since. I could feel no burr or rouch spot. I always thought the laminations might have been shifting.

But this is after more than 1000 shots. Its not because you kept it strung. That string probably at most has 10lb strain on it strung. Probably less
