New Shafer longbow

Default New Shafer longbow

Just got this in Tuesday and finally getting a chance to shoot it tonite.She's 64",52#@28".Cocobloo riser with yew limbs and sheephorn nocks.I've been shooting a couple of Shafer recurves lately and thought it was about time to get me a Shafer longbow(still love my Widow longbows,though)

She's a beauty, Jim. I hate bow envy.... it's making me want one of those sweet shooting works of art. I cam so close to buying a Zipper. I'd better learn to shoot the one I have first, though. It'll be more than enough for this season.

The checkered grip is awesome-great shooting longbow.I'm sending my one Shafer recurve back to get checkered and limbs reduced this summer.It's also pretty much the same grip as my 2 t/d's so going back and forth between the bows should be no problem.Like Matt said,"The traditional Gods keep smiling..."

Awesome bow! They are sweet shooter, I had a bacote one just like it. The checkered grip is sweet.
