Default What species of wood ?

Guys, I was wondering if I had any tree species here in the PNW (northern Idaho) that would work well for making a self bow.

everything I read about self bowsis hardwoods...

Here almost all the trees are conifers, douglas fir, grand fir, larch, cedar, white pine, ponderosa pine, lodge pole pine, spruce and alpine fir... would any of this work?
