Well, I sent the Massie back. Nice bow, but too pricy for me..........but.......well.......I ordered another crusader. Help me. I am weak.
A takedown, 64" 55lb. elm core clear glass belly, black glass back.

Was the Massie a longbow or recurve? Are those Crusaders that good? Can you compare them to any other longbow?

the massie longbow was fine. Jeff massie is a fine fellow to talk to. The bow was just not what I wanted.
Crusaders are reasonably priced, perform well and well made.
It wouldn' t be fair of me to compare bows on an open forum. If you have specific questions, feel free to e-mail me.

I' ve ordered 2 new bows. A Palmer double carbon and a Blacktail Elite. The trouble is that I;m shooting my Checkmate Hunter so well now, I' m wondering why I want to change. More bows...More Bows.....More bows..... Someone stop me before my wife throws me out! Dick

In due time, running out of room anyways, between the animal pictures we have framed, mounts, and the wifes paintings she likes, we are about out! Not to mention I could use a bigger bowhunting room LOL

You could always get down to basics like I do. The first two trad bows I bought I gave to my son and son-in-law when I bought three and four, respectively. When I bought four, I sold three. I have now bought no. 5, a Black Thunder, and I' m going to sell no. 4, a seven month old Crusader.

I can' t justify more than one bow, until I start building them myself!!

4. Tomahawk Thunderstorm 64" ; traded for
5. Selway Lil Shooter 62" bamboo limbs (still own)
6. Gharing Cornstalker 64" Sassafras limbs
7. Sovereign Sonoran 65" birdseye bocate limbs
8. Traded both for a Selway II Lil Shooter Canary wood limbs (being built)
9. Viper 68" traded for kids longbow for my 9 year old son
10. Internature recurve 62" traded for kids longbow for my 8 year old son
