RE: Dream Bow
I changed my mind. I surfed Acadian Woods site a day or two ago - WOW ! I have never seen prettier bows. I only know of what people say of them, but they are hands down the prettiest bows I have seen. The woods, the finish, the inlays, the options - I saw on the Leatherwall where a guy got ALL the option - and it cost him $1200 !! I gotta shoot one of those someday ....

RE: Dream Bow
A CM Longhorn with phynolic and Killer Whale tooth tip overlays, I'd leave the funky wood selection up to Marc- because according to the wife, I can't even dress myself properly...<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

RE: Dream Bow
Right now, my Sley recurve is my current dream bow. It's a new design and not shown on his website yet. It has a cocobolo riser with a bocote spiral in the center with bamboo limbs.
Would like to have another Sley, maybe a Longbow next time. Got a Trails End Meicine Point coming in October. It will have a bocote riser with a cocobolo stripe and fancy inlays. A guy from Leather Wall emailed a pic to me of his Medicine Point. It was an awesome looking bow. Sag. |
RE: Dream Bow
4 years ago I had everyone looking for used bows for me, a friend went to trophy book archery in Stony Plain Alberta, to a garage sale night. One older Gentlman was selling all of his bow (cheap) and he had a mid 1960 Black widow w/ 2 sets of limbs and 3 other bows. By the time my friend called me it was sold for around the $100 Canadian ($15 American ha ha). I am still sad.
