Jay's book is an excellent read. But I believeeven Jay will tell you that the book is designed for people who have platoed and are looking for that little extra to get them backup inthe learning curve. Jay's basic shooting philosophy is to learn arrow trajectory (sounds simple - right). Also great insights of the mental and psychology aspect of archery and cures for Target Panic.

Jay personally helped me through a flinching problem I had a while ago. I thought it may have been a form of target panic, but it wasn't.

BobCo,
I have to disagree with your "plateauing" statement above. I started out with no idea about how to shoot a trad bow. I figured it was just some "gift" that some people were born with.

But reading his book helped me to understand shooting instinctively. I did what he told me in the book and I learned what instinctive shooting was all about. I can now pick up any bow and after a few shots hit what I am shooting at. It's not magic, like I thought it was, it is learning. There is no hocus pocus or phony spiritual stuff in his book. It is knowledge that you need to learn. And with his book I learned fast.

Never said it can't or didn't help you. ;)

It is a very good book. One of the best that I read.

Just pointed out the design of the book. I believe Jay has an illustration of what I mentioned about the learning curve in the book.
