I can't believe I'm doing this, but here is what I'm taking elk hunting in a few weeks. I haven't yet shot anelk in four years with my compound, but I was stricken by the longbow about a year and a half ago.

After waffling back and forth I decided to take the stick. Boy am I going to be upset if I get a bull to 30 yds and can't shoot him!

That is one sweet rig. I really do like those bows. You should take your compound as backup incase you get frustrated with the longbow. Just a thought.
