Merry Christmas to me, Merry Christmas to me. The mailman will breath easier now that he doesn't have someone stalking him and the mail truck looking for a new bow.
Thats right, my new Crusader has arrived today, and I must say, WHAT A BEAUTIFUL BOW!!!!!!! I ordered a 62" Crusader, 55@28", cocobola riser and yew wood limbs. I cant believe how well built it is. I cant see a glue line ANYWHERE on it.
I just couldnt resist, so I strung it up, and eyeballed where the arrow should be nocked, and let 6 fly at 10 yards. Believe it or not, ALL 6 were in the bullseye!!!!
Now thats what I call a shooter. I was impressed at how fast it is. I was shooting 2213 arrows with vanes. Definitely no the right arrow, lots of tail whip. I should be building arrows soon, when my order comes in that is.
Im not sure what spine I will need, so I am going to order a "test" pack, and see which ones fly the best.
Chad, once again, a BIG THANK YOU for pointing me in the right direction on the bow. Im sure I would have screwed up something if I were to order one on my own.
CT, we are going to need to find a CA (Crusaders Annonomous) class to try to shake this disease we have.
I gotta quit typing, it's too hard to type and do the "Lucky Me Butt Wiggle Dance" at the same time.

Congrats! Now you too have the Crusader virus and the Chad Virus. Welcome to the club. The only known relief is buy more bows. There is reportedly no cure!!!!! Have fun shooting.

Ok guys, I'll do my best to get you some pics. My webtv is on the fritz and my scanner wont work with it, but I know a few people with scanners.
I shot the bow a little more, this time with a 2219 arrow, with what is left of 3 feathers. It shot that one alot straighter.
I have to put the sealskin on it yet, and I think Barge Cement is what was recommended in another thread. Is that right? I dont want to screw something up.
I think this is going to be alot different than shooting my compound. My fingers need to get tougher in the tips. Also, 70# on the compound sure feels easier than 55# on the Crusader.
CT, I think buying another bow right now is out of the question. My wife will string me up if I do.
But, if I do order another one, I gotta have a takedown Crusader.

That's okay, my wife said she was going to make me move in with Chadif I bought another bow. Chad did say he had room for a few people. One way around being beaten by my wife with a new bow was to trade or sell my copmpound for another Crusader. It worked. I explained that the empty spot in my bow holder needed to be filled or the new bow would be lonely and I didn't spend any $$, it was a trade . At least I wasn't made into a flagpole.
