I need help....Fred Bear Commemorative
I have a chance to pick up a FB comm. longbow from a friend. It's black.....but other than that...the only thing I know is it's supposedly one out of 1000 made.
Does this bow ring a bell with anyone? I'm a compound shooter who's looking to get into the trad. realm.
Thanks.

Byron Ferguson shoots aspirins out of the air withBear Longbow.
As far as style, I find myself preferring the classic "D" to a highly deflex/reflex or hybrid longbow style.

Not my favorite by a long shot (the Montanna), but I haven't shot one lately--maybe they have changed. Might be worth something later on down the road, but you'd want to keep it in mint condition.
Howard Hill made amazing shots, Byron Ferguson still makes amazing shots, but I can't make myself like either of their bow styles--they just don't fit me. Different strokes for different folks........but if shooting one of their bows instantly made me shoot like they did/do, I could probably learn to like it.
