I have 2 Legend Longbows made by Jim Johnson that I shoot a lot and a Crusader that I shoot a lot also. I shoot each one nearly every night in my basement out to 20 yards. I like them all.

My main bow is a 1964 model Shakespeare Kaibab 55#.
I also have an old Darton Ranger 44# that I bought to work on my form when I realized the 55# was a little too much for a beginner. Getting the forms ready to make my first recurve soon.

I HUNT AND MOSTLY SHOOT WITH MY BLACK WIDOW SAII. 59# @29"
I HAVE A FEW OTHER BW'S AND WILL LEAVE 2 AT WORK AND THE REST HOME SO I DON'T HAVE TO ALLOW THE AIRLINES OPPORTUNITIES TO TRASH THEM. ONE OF THE BW'S IS AN OLD TARGET BOW AT 39#. I HAVE NOT SHOOT IT YET BUT WHEN I MAKE UP ARROWS I'M GOING TO START SHOOT PAPER WITH IT. ALSO I HAVE 2 BEAR T/D RISERS AND 3 SETS OF LIMBS.

Chek-Mate Crusader, 62", 51#@28", one pice longbow.
I've figured out Chad's Rule (for) Long Bows. They must shoot quiet and sweet. The Crusader fills the bill in spades!!

My journey on the "primitive" side started with a PSE Cheyenne. No unhappy memories but this bow moved out the day the CM Falcon Deluxe, 57#@28", arrived. Then I had to try the CM longbow. My first was a 66" T/D Crusader, 56@28. Next was a 62" 'Sader (recommended by Chad), yew & cocobolo, 54@27. I still have all three of these; the Falcon has been "dormant for a few months while the 'custom' 'Sader has accounted for my first 2 primitive kills - whitetail doe, mulie buck.
