Default Flemish string material question

Hello,
I'm in the process of building my own bow and other than the internet I'm having a hard time finding the Dacron B50 stuff around here. Is there a good substitute to use as a tiller string or do I have to go with the Dacron stuff? Has anyone used anything else other than Dacron? Could I use something from a craft store?

Thank you all

Default RE: Flemish string material question

B-500 is another dacron material offered by BCY. I don't know much about tillering strings, but don't see why a strong twine wouldn't work.
