Doug:
Mine is a recurve with a longbow handle. I had Kent make it with catclaw riser and arroya limbs. very pretty, very quiet bow. It depends what you're looking for in a bow, how much you'd like it. It is very forgiving of release, exceptionally quiet, accurate, pretty and ruggedly made. It is not a speed demon. I have owned a Mahaska longbow, but not a flatbow. I wouldn't hesitate to call Kent and talk to him about any concerns you may have. He guarntees satisfaction, and I suspect he'd buy one back if you didn't like it.
DON'T QUOTE ME ON THAT!!
If I get a chance this week, I'll take some pictures if you want. Let me know.
