Default Nobody told me this was contagious!?

This is worse than Asian bird flu..........now we all have it.

Here in PA we have a big 120 target Spring 3D bowhunters festival in April that the guys from my club go to.

It's right after a long 15 shoot outdoor league that started in December and we usually shoot the heck out of the placewith our standard 3D gear.

Well one recurve leads to another which leads to another and before you know it, the 4 guys in my regular 3D group + a buddy from across the street are all going and we're gonna be dangerous!!!
It's usually a fun event regardless but this aspect of it is the most talked about part. We're all pretty excited to just chill the heck out from serious foam punching and have some "Fun".

I would like to warn the residents of Brickerville , PA and the other shooters at the festival in advance for what is going to happen.......we are in the process of drafting a formal state of emergency and anyone attending may have to sign an extra waiver to be allowed on the same courses with us.
We also apologize in advance for loud boisterous shouting and laughter, the occasional curse word and the environmental impactthat willoccur whenseveral hundred acres of woods look like 1,000 turkeys have been scratching at them.

If you see us say hello (from a distance)........we'll be the group of 5 making fun of each other, and carrying only bows back down the hill from courses4thru 6.

If you see us at any pointand we still have arrows left, please proceed to courses 1 thru 3.

Sounds like your looking to have a good time!Might have to check that shoot out-can't let you guys be the only recurve shooters there.BTW,there's a traditional-only shoot May 5-7 at the Peach Bottom Fish & Game. You should check into it.It's a small shoot but it's got a nice course, some dealersand we always have a good time.

Now THAT is what it's all about! Having a good time with friends on the range--can't beat it! Lol--you might as well be prepared for some dirty looks and disparaging remarks from the "other" guys--they are just jealous because they aren't having as much fun as you will be!

Chad,
The funny part is that we're some of the better compound 3D shooters in this area and alot of the guys there know us , so it will be doubly interesting to see the reactions.

We'll have fun, you can count on that part.[:-]

There was once a club where I only took my compound when I shot there. Then, one day, I hadn't had time to retune the wheelie bow so I decided to take the longbow instead. The guys who knew me from other clubs, of course, weren't too terribly suprized but the others... From the looks I got, you would've thought I had grown a third eye in the middle of my forefead. They had no idea I was a switch hitter until then.

I would highly recommend taking a comealong and a good bit of twine with you. That way you can help them lift their jaws off the ground and anchor them in place. [8D]
