I don't doubt they are cocobolo, I just would have guessed them to be bubinga due to the color and figure. That can vary quite a bit, especially in those woods.
They are a big different than the Crusader--the Chapparal has a more radical limb design, and the grips look to be much straighter. The standard grip on the Crusader is what most would probably call "semi-recurve). It it dished and has a slight palm swell. Maybe not the most "traditional" grip for a longbow, but the most comfortable and naturalI've ever held in any bow. I've had a 60" Crusader made, but normally they come in 62" to 68".
