ThatIS an uncanny resemblance isn't it.:D

(Maybe it's his buddy's bow that Archeryhistory.com borrowed for the website?[:-])

Somebody got punk'd, and I think it was YOU guys. Glad nobody sent $600 for it.;)

I don't even see how that's possible.

No , its actually the picture I used to show the bow that I'm buying.
Didnt have a pic at the time so used that one. Glad you thought you
being an internet superhero and saving someone from being as you say
Punk'd. Next time I'd suggest knowing all the facts before accusing someone
of something. All , you had to do was ask where the pic came from. Thanks ...

Did you buy it yet?

When are you getting it?

Not being skepitcal, I'm genuinely curious. Sounds like one heck of a deal on a neat bow...

Your serious?.......your buddyhas the EXACT same bow signed by Fred Bear himself in 1980?
That isn't a one of a kind? So there's multiple bows of that vintage running around signed by Fred Bear in 1980 with the exact same trimmings?.

If you don't think your description and the use of that picture without crediting the source right off the bat sounded fishy,(and still does)you're sadly mistaken.

If you get your hands on that exact bow from your buddy, and produce pictures of it you'll have my most sincere apologies.
Until then.......

Matt, actually there were 150-something of those bows produced--I've seen two of them in person. Lynn Busby in FL hadat least one of them--think he had two at one time. I'll have to watch my Bear Museum tour video again to know the exact number, but I'm 99.99% sure the number was over 150, but less than 160. The one I saw came in the same display case, bow and case signed by Fred Bear, and had gold plated td clasps. Absolutely beautiful bows--I'd never take it out of the case if I had one.

According to the late Mr. Frank Scott on the Bear Museum tour video, there were 156 of those bows produced.

Ok my bad.........[:-]

But tell me it didn't look like shenanigans?

Slugman, you have my apologies.....I assumed you were up to something there (even if it was to just impress the ladies;))If your buddy was selling that for $400 I think I'd almost feel guilty taking it from him after seeing what other Bear recurves sell for normally.

I still want to see some pics of that bow though, better than the Archeryhistory site. As Arthur can tell you I have had a sudden uncontrollable interest in Recurves again and I'm just eating all this stuff up.
By the way I just picked up the same bow you have (Pearson Hunter 709) to get me flinging arrows until I can figure out what I want to order exactly from Chek-Mate for a possible late X-Mas or Birthday present.

Again Slugman, I am sorry for ASSuming.:(
