Looks like you've got something to do while watching football this weekend.

That's when I do all my serious arrow work.

Have you checked them for straightness yet? How are they?

I've only fooled around with 20 or so...... Most had a small amount of bend in them. Nothing that can't be taken care of fairly quickly though.....

The good thing is they are 36 inches, so I can cut off almost 10 inches on each shaft..... That should help with the straightening.......

Also, I rigged up a very crude spine tester last night and ran about 10 arrows through it...... 3 of the 10 seemed to spine at about 50lbs, the rest were under that, some were WAY under that....... But that's ok, my wife and nephew can shoot the weaker arrows and they will just right for them.

Man, I wish I had taken a picture of it, it was a thing of beauty Basically copied JSOG's method, but even more low tech.....

Let us know how they turn out. I've made a few arrows out of ramin wood for the kids. Nice hard shafts, but it was difficult to find anything at the local hardware store straight enough to work with! lol. I'd wondered if the ramin would be a good medium between the ash and the cedar for hardness and weight....
