Is it just me, or am I noticing an influx of interests in the traditional archery area? Seems like on a day by day basis a new person is getting interested or thinking about getting interested intraditional archery justin these forums. Do you think a change is in the air? Anyone care to predict? Maybe this is the start of something? What do you think?

Personally, I think it is exciting that we are getting more interest in the traditional area. And I think as more and more compound shooters get to try traditional and see what it has to offer, they will be converted.

There has been a steady increase in tradtional shooters since the late 80's, so this is nothing new. I simply see the trend continuing and gaining momentum as compound technology goes farther and farther along the path it's pursued. And there's also a rapidly growing number of people getting interested in selfbows and making their own gear.

It's been slowly but surely growing over the last 8 or 10 years around here. It goes faster the more people that get involved with it--they have a buddy that tries it, and so on. Not likely that compounds will very loose their spot, but it's nice to see some folks that just like the challenge.

For me, the compound began to lose it's challenge.... For a guy that shoots regularly, understands tuning, etc, the compound can be so efficient that any deer within bowrange is as good as dead...... Where is the excitement in that? The last 7 or more deer I had within compound range died....... I missed the days when I wasn't even sure if I could hit the deer..... Thats fun, that's hunting IMO.......
