My Indiana state Representative sent me a questionaire yesterday. Mostly about taxes and our sorry Hoosier budget, but one that threw me was "Should the state continue to manage wildlife?"
What could that mean? Sounds like they are planning a big privitization or something...

Hmmm, that don't sound good. The way they just put questions out there without explaining them seems a bit unethical. It makes me think that they already have an agenda and will manipulate the responses to benefit that agenda. If it were me, I'd be looking into what the heck they mean before I answered. Of course, that doesn't help with everybody else that got one.

I big topic of debate in recent years in Michigan has been whether the Natural Resources Commission, or DNR, should regulate game species, or whether the legislature should be empowered to do it. As you might guess, sportsmen came down on the side of the DNR.

wish ak would follow and we wouldnt be having half of these friggin problems...not only that I would like to see ak make hunting/fishing a constitutional right! Unfortunatly its not a right its a privelage. We can however curb them with amendments like this. It looks like states are following suit one by one....maybe come the next millenium the Ak population will see its mistakes and learn from other states!!!
