The bow looks pretty outdated, PSE even says it's been in the line for a long time, with the round wheels. For a little more money youcould get a new bow that is more modern. Or, you can find used bows probably for less than that.
See the Bear on the link. The draw length will last you longer if you are are still a teenager. This bow comes with accessories (3-pin fiber optic sight with metal pins, Whisker Biscuit arrow rest, two-piece camouflage quiver, 3 satellite carbon arrows.)
And even a free bowvise

There are other beginner bows that are in that price range. Here is an even better bow to grow with on ebay for $225. Bear TRX Left hand

Grazed,
You should list the make and manufacturer of the bow you posted. Nevermind I found it on your thread.2004 PSE FIRESTORM
I'd bet that they have not changes that bow since about 1990 or so. With today's bows at the same draw weight and length as that bow you can pick-up higher speed and KE. That's why I'm recommending something new.
Please read Paul's description here

That looks like the bow i started out with. I wouldnt recommend it to anyone. It is really unforgiving, and I know speed isnt everything, but it has an archer at 30 yrds rather than todays bows. I would look at a used bow, or the Diamond lineup, or even another PSE bow. Just what i have experienced.

Its a great bow. PSE makes some of the best bows on the market. Im still shooting my Nova with the S3 cams, they are smooth, quiet and the bow will get the job done on atight budget. Dont let anyone talk you into buying something you cant afford. Another good affordabel bow by PSE is the Beast.

It's not a matter of talking someone out of something they can not afford. It's a matter of buying new technology. Sure, my old Whitetail legend still shoots good. However, I wouldn't buy that bow brand new.
For the same price or a little more he can get a newer model PSE or a bow from another manufacturer that will out perform that bow in many ways. For possibly less he can get a used bow. So why buy a new bow with 15 yr old technology? It has round wheel plastic cams. It has low let-off. Definitely does not have a draw stop. Doubt it has a shoot thru riser.
I sent him 3 links with bows for about the same price with better accessories.
It's not even a matter of buying a PSE or not buying a PSE. It's about getting the most for your money. Buying that bow new is a waste of money. Why not find the same bow used for under $100? Or for that matter. Any bow used for under $200? Ifone of my old bows has a lower draw weight I'd sell him one of those bows for dirt cheap and they would still be newer technology than that bow.
