Default Broadheads????

Okay I've read all of 5 Shots reviews and have narrowed my choice of mechanical broadheads down to the following. These will be 100 grain. I'm also looking for a larger cut diameter.

Spitfire Snyper Wasp Hypershock Gator

My arrow specs are:
Arrow Weight
397

Velocity
275

KE
66.7

MO
0.485

I will be hunting deer (98%) and black bear (2%).

You won't go wrong with either of the Rocky Mountains. The Snyper flies slightly better than the Gator, but the Gator makes a heck of a gash. By the way, did you know they are making a 3 blade Snyper (Snyper XP 3) to be available at the end of June? Might keep that in mind...
Personally, I would stay away from the Hypershock.

I prefer fixed heads myself, but of the ones you are choosing from, I would go with the snypers.

Since I have started useing Slick Tricks my opinion is that mechanical heads have become obsolete. They fly, slice, and penetrate that good.

Having said that of the ones you listed I would use the Wasp. But if I had to use a mechanical head I would rather use the NAP scorpion.

It is not on your list but I agree with bigulls. I have used the NAP Scorpions for the past two years and have not had any problems with them. I have taken two nice 8 pointers and three doe. Not one of them ran more than 35 yards and all shots were complete pass throughs. I have the 100gr Scorpions mounted on CX300's weighing 364 grains traveling at 268fps.

Of the heads you listed, I would go with the Spitfire XP Pro or the Wasp. I don't know if NAP is including the cutting blade in their replacements blade packs yet so that may be a factor.

If you are going on a guided bear hunt, check to make sure that the guides will allow you to use mechanical heads. Some do not.

I've shot the Snypers and Spitfires. I prefer the Snypers. Can't comment on the others.
