Allegiance or not?
Just shot the allegiance yesterday and I'm debating on whether or not to purchase it. What an amazing bow! Super quiet with no shock at all. I'm currently shooting an 03' Extreme VFT @ 72#/27". Could ya'll give me a few reasons why I should or shouldn't buy this bow and sell my Ex. VFT. Thanks!

RE: Allegiance or not?
Its faster and you might as well buy it or you will just frustrate yourself everytime you see it in the shop:D

RE: Allegiance or not?
That's a very good reason! Another good reason is I just ordered one. If I can do it so can you. Alan in WI

Don't get one. Had to throw that in there to make the decision tough!
Haha, nah, if you like it buy it. |
RE: Allegiance or not?
I"m shooting an Allegiance also and am tickled with with this bow. I think the big advantage over your current bow is the cams. So far, the Equalizer system is proving to be outstanding in terms of tunability. I've had mine for a couple months are there is no timing issues what so ever with the bow.
Just go buy it! |
RE: Allegiance or not?
I"m a Die Hard Hoyt shooter and love my vtec. I shot one of our allegiance demo's and fell in love with it. So, I decided to buy one. I will never give up my Hoyt's, but boy that allegiance is a great bow.
It's all about the sport not the manufacturer. |
RE: Allegiance or not?
I bought an Allegiance this year and so far love it. I've killed a couple of hogs and a ram w/ it and hunting wise it performed flawlessly. I would say Muzzymann was right about the tunablity of this bow in saying it is nothing short of incredible. You have got a really good shooting bow in the Extreme VFT but I think you'll be very happy with the Allegiance.

RE: Allegiance or not?
I shot an Allegiance this year and didn't see it as much of an upgrade at all to my 2003 Patriot........I also shot a Switchback and if that bow was faster I would have considered it.
The Allegiance is fast but my Patriot is as fast as I will ever need.........5-10 fps is not worth buying a whole new bow over. I could feel a definate buzz in the grip of the Allegiance on every shot that is just not there in my Patriot.........and I was really disappointed in the draw cycle because of all the great things I had heard about it.......the Switchback drew much better IMO. If I didn't already own a Bowtech I would most likely have been more impressed with the Allegiance.........as it is now though I see it as owning a corvette and upgrading to a new corvette. In speed dept the Allegiance was faster but nothing to get excited over. My Patriot is as quiet or quieter. Both are smooth shooters. The Allegiance had a buzz in the grip that I have seen others comment on. I prefer the draw on my Patriot. The Allegiance and Switchback are great bows no doubt.............but if you already own a Bowtech then I don't view them as much of an upgrade at all. |

ORIGINAL: HuntingBry The Allegiance had a buzz in the grip that I have seen others comment on. There's some great advise;) I've still got my '02 Patriot and is still a great shooting bow, that Allegiance is a different animal though:D |
