who shoots a bowtech

who shoots a bowtech and what kind ie. mighty mite, pro 38,etc. and what are your likes and dislikes.
i shoot a mighty mite and a pro 38. i like the speeds and the smoothness of them. the 38 is a little heavey but im use to a lighter bow. i'll be shooting it in 3-d tournaments. the mighty mite is my hunting bow so ive shot it the most. its sweet in every way. just wanted to know who was using the best made bows .

RE: who shoots a bowtech

You have two VERY GOOD bows there.I shoot a PRO38 and my Brother shoots a Patriot for 3-D and a Mity Mite to hunt with. The only thing I can say about the 38 is,it is a little on the heavy side, but it is VERY steady in my hand at full draw.I wouldn't take my money back for mine, its fast and quiet and its the bow I'm going to hunt with.I shoot this bow the best of any I have ever shot.Good Luck this season.

RE: who shoots a bowtech

tbone, I got a little carried away and have 4. A Patriot, Mighty Mite, P38 dual cam, P40. The MM is my favorite for hunting. I like the weight and speed. I pull 55# and get 265 with a 375 gr arrow. Very accurate for a short bow. The Pat is nice because of the lack of recoil or vibration. As you know, a very accurate bow. The P38 is my 3D bow. 55# gets me 293 with a 320 gr arrow. I'll hunt some with this bow, this fall. I bought the P40 for some unknown reason. Targets I guess, though the P38 will probably take that job over. Can you see I like the P38 alot?

Phil.

My wife and I shoot Bowtech Bows. We have 6 total. 3 pro38's, patriot, extreme solo and a BK2. I love them all. we shoot the 38's for 3d and spots, I hunt with the patriot, wife hunts with extreme solo, and a friend Borrowed the BK2 a week after I got it and it never came back. I think he likes it.

RE: who shoots a bowtech

Bowtech fan here...

I shoot a bunch of different bows (err did...sold em all or they are for sale)..In the past year I've owned about5 or 6 Bowtechs.

Right now I have 2 in my house, a BKII option II (2002 model) and a Patriot. The Patriot has been sold. The BKII I initially was going to sell too...but decided against it.It shoots too damn good for me to get rid of. I also had a G3.2 which I really wish I would have kept now, it was one of the most forgiving and accurate onecams I've ever owned..It made the Patriot look silly. Alas,I'm getting back into the longer axle to axle bows...they just are less finicky..even though they can be a hindrance in my ground blinds.

The 2003 Bowtech's will rock...and I'm in the market for another G3.2 or Pro-40 option II if my other bow's sell.

Good product and good people at the company. They listen and learn as they grow. Can't ask for much more.

JeffB :)

Pro-38 only up until this week - the Patriot just came in so I can't comment on it yet... The 38 is awesome - I shot it in spots early this year, then went into 3d - took a turkey & I know it would be good for tails too but I had to get a Pat. I echo the grip comments - I didn't think I could shoot better but alas I bought a Shrewd & cut the left/rights down a bunch.

I love the BowTechs and I hope the Patriot is as great as I hope it will be!

What Jeff said......BowTech fan here too, and also back on the Longer ATA kick.
Owned or shot just about every BowTech model......had a 2001 Mighty Mite last season for hunting, sold it in favor of the longer Pro38 Dual Cam.
Looking forward to what they have in store for 2003 also.

I'm afraid I don't know too much about 2003 mods

I suspect we shall see some more VFT on bows as they had said awhile back they were incorporating it into the line...

Peronally I'd like to see a &quot;spot bow&quot; w/ a higher brace and see bows like the MM and T=29 on Pro style risers.

Matt, Pat, any clues?

Walks, Sorry but that won't work my friend. You see years ago I was trained in the military not to offer any classified information if held hostage no matter how much abuse and physical harm is inflicted on me (unless I'm offered a huge sum of cash of course). Lots of money really helps reduce the hurt. What a rat - won't share the dirt with us...

I need to get off my current cycle - I couldn't wait any longer & bought my Pro38 just before the new models came out & voila - there's the Patriot...

I just got my Patriot in & I suppose I'll be kicking myself in December when the new ones are out..

Oh well - I didn't want to participate in this economic downturn anyway.

And - BTW - BTSHOOTER - I was in the service too - and I've got clearance & a need to know - and - 'if the government can trust me - so can you...'

RACEMAN30 - FYI - the Shrewd grips are awesome - I love mine & I know other's on this board shoot them on their BT's too!

I do! I do!

I have two PRO 38s 2001, and a 2002 and I am waiting for a Patriot. A top notch young company that listens to their customers. Speed shootability, quality, and customer service. I too like my Shrewd grip.

I've got a Bowtech Stalker. What I loved about the bow was the price, just a little over $200.00, and the performance. It's got good speed and it's a very easy bow the shoot. It's tuned far easier for me than any of the other bows I've owned.

I honestly can't think of any dislikes.

I have owned a Pro 38 dual cam and loved the most accurat bow I have ever owned(I shoot it better than I do my pat.)it just it was a little to hard on my bad back I wish now that I would have keep it and bought 60# limbs for it not that I wouldn't still have bought a Patriot that is if they wife wouldn't have trown a fit<img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle>. I have a 60# Patriot and love it also, and my brother has a MM and it is awesome too.

Phil, No I didn't get to drag an Elk in Oregon (actually I guess you pack em out quartered on a pack frame which my buddy had).
The ONLY thing I got to drag around was my butt. Those mountains kicked this flatlanders azz I'll tell you.
I'm new to Elk hunting but I'm ready for more.....soon!

Bigcountry25, No the word silly isn't a hint, silly.... LOL....

Jeff,

Didn't know you once had a G 3.2
I pulled the one Bowtech Shooter brought to Bedford.
It had the smoothest draw of any one cam I've ever seen.
It was my favorite Bowtech by far.
If I didn't love my Merlins so well, I wouldn't mind owning one.
I do like a one cam with 80% let off for hunting.

Sag, The one you saw was my demo. You should see my 3-D rig. It's a pretty Red G-3.2 with a chrome cam, idler, third wheel & bracket. My current plans are to shoot it at least at the beggining of next years 3-D season....

BowTech Shooter,

I bet it does look good!
My Red Man bow is red with white limbs, so red is one of my favorites.
I appreciate the fact you brought the G 3.2 demo to Bedford for me to look at.
Maybe I will get to meet you at Bedford in 03' since I missed you last time.

Sag,

Yep I had one, and I can tell ya this..Out of all the bows I bought this year that's the one I'm kicking myself in the A$$ about most. That thing was smooth to draw and one of the most accurate one-cams I've ever experienced. It held like an absolute rock. It would amke an excellent 3D bow or longer hunting bow.

I suggest you find one if you can.

JeffB :)
