The Allegiance has Landed!
Gentleman, it has finally arrived. 6 weeks from the date of order, exactly. I haven't shot it yet, but spent the night decorating it with a Spot Hogg sight, TT rest and for now, my Simms modular stabilizer ( I need to get hooked up with a Stealth);)
Just a few tidbits. The BC was 70.9, 350 gr arrow@ 28" shot 305. Just looking to the bow over, I'm impressed with the fit and finish. Everything seems superb. I will have to comment on the overall finish. Bowtech has made great strides on their dipping process. I really didn't find anything worth mentioning. This is a far cry from last years lineup which IMO had a lot to be desired. I think i'm calling off work Thursday.:D Not only do I want to shoot this bugger, but the NASCAR race is on. Two fer one deal.:D I"m ready to grill up some Ohions now! Heeerrreee Buckeye buckeye buckeye........:D |
RE: The Allegiance has Landed!
Congrats and enjoy.
I got my personal left-handed BT around 5:00 today. It's already tuned and totally outfitted.:D Now I've got to see if it exceeds my standards.;) |
RE: The Allegiance has Landed!
Cangrats MM I know how much you were looking forward to getting it. If figure mine is 2 or 3 weeks out :(I ordered it on the 14th of jan. But I'm hangin' in there I am sure it will be worth the wait. Shoot a few arrows for me and let me know how I done.:)

RE: The Allegiance has Landed!

You don't want it to meet your standards but rather exceed them huh?...;):D |
RE: The Allegiance has Landed!
Pat:
Although speed is NOT an issue, it is slower than the bow model I've been shooting for 7 years. Not by much though. There are other things that I look for in a bow. MANY have not met my 'standards'. This one looks VERY promising.;) |
RE: The Allegiance has Landed!
Len, too bad it's a lefty. I was going to suggest you send it to me, if it didn't exceed your standards. But then maybe I'll learn to shoot LH. So keep me in mind. ;):D

decorating it with a Spot Hogg sight, TT rest and for now, my Simms modular stabilizer ( I need to get hooked up with a Stealth) Seriously though, I am glad to hear that you finally received the bow. It must have felt just like being a kid at Christmas. On a related note, these bows must be something special if Len, who has more bows to play with than I own socks, is enthused about receiving his new one. ;) Lastly, I hear my bow should be arriving some time soon as well. :) |
RE: The Allegiance has Landed!
Great news!! I am ecstatic that it finally arrived. We can all rest assured you will be practiced up for the inevitable country butt whoopn' the BUCKS are going to pass out;)

BUt that means we have to stop all the ![]() [8D] Len, Let us know how your new BT rates to your standards;) |
RE: The Allegiance has Landed!
Congrats on your new bow.
Now---I'm STILL WAITING--five weeks and counting. What's makes things uncomfortable is neither the distributor or the folks at Bowtech are answering my calls/emails on the status of this order. ![]() Last year I waited SEVEN MONTHS on a Liberty. This year I overlooked my last experience and went with Bowtech again .But----same stuff different day!!! Now I am seriously thinking of looking at something else--yes Bowtech makes great bows, so does Mathews, Hoyt, Darton, PSE and the list goes on. For me, the bow is as good as the 'shooter'--I've shot Champion bows which cost half the price of the top-of-the-line bows and have done pretty well in competition against the top runners. I'm a little disappointed today--as I had really expected to hear something on my bow--either from BowTech or the supplier here in Canada. [&o]. ![]() |
RE: The Allegiance has Landed!
Congratulations Muzzy:D Hope mine does not take that long[:'(]

RE: The Allegiance has Landed!
Its about time. Now if you can only learn to shoot:D
|
RE: The Allegiance has Landed!
ram96, lets not even go down that road bud.;) Based off of the season you had this past year......well, I"ll just leave it at that.:D
|
RE: The Allegiance has Landed!
Just glad you finally got it. Maybe we can go shoot soon. I can get us into BE club. IF PA Hardwoods is good maybe he can go too.
|
RE: The Allegiance has Landed!
Congrats!!! I shot the Mathews Switchback and Hoyt Vtec and bought the Bowtech. Nuf said.
|
RE: The Allegiance has Landed!
ram96, just name the day bud. I just papertuned it and will spend most of tomorrow shooting some arrows out it to get it close enough to take to the range. Chad did say something about going to some time.
|
RE: The Allegiance has Landed!
I'll take a punch in the face. You shoulda bought a Switchback.:D Just kidding. Good luck and have fun. Sounds like it's been a long wait.
|
RE: The Allegiance has Landed!
Good to hear you have your new bow. I cancelled the Old Glory I had on order yesterday, got tired of waiting .
|
RE: The Allegiance has Landed!
Bowshopper, thats a shame. These bows are well worth waiting on. Trust me, the wait sucks, it sucks real bad, but after you shoot a few arrows through you will realize why you waited. I just shot 20 yards with it and I can tell you right now, they are getting to the target in a hurry!

RE: The Allegiance has Landed!
Muzzyman, it's no big deal. When things settle down a little and Bowtech is caught up with production, I will re- order the bow. Hopefully the next time my wait will be 8 weeks or less.:D
|
RE: The Allegiance has Landed!
It wont be long, my dealer in Ontario receive mine so next week i will have it, i ordered it at the ATA show. How about that--- ![]() |
RE: The Allegiance has Landed!
I know #7 cams are available because I have a bow in the shop with those cams. If your Dealer doesn't have the cams to swap from another bow, I'm sure you'll see your bow soon. Chin up!;)
|
RE: The Allegiance has Landed!
Ampahunter
I dont understand that, mine is a 27 inch draw lenght right hand but a 70lbs, camo. Just call North Sylva maybe they can help you? Just go to bowtech website, dealer and international dealer you will find the phone number.[&o] |
RE: The Allegiance has Landed!
Len--no other cams/swaps for my draw length at the moment, but I'm hanging in there.
Must admit though, after building my hopes up for the last week and counting the days down to today--then find out 'none' of the Allegiance bows came with a #7 cam, this takes the air out of my sails!!! Last year I waited very long on my Target Liberty--I really didn't think lightening would have struck twice!! |
RE: The Allegiance has Landed!
I dont understand that, mine is a 27 inch draw lenght right hand but a 70lbs, camo. Today I spoke to "B" at North Sylva and I was told that none of the Allegiance bows came with a 27" draw length/ a #7 cam. He says he's trying his best to get me a cam--and added that spare cams are really not available now--as all cams produced, are being fitted directly onto bows. What can I say bud!! |
RE: The Allegiance has Landed!
HMMMM! yes starting to sound familiar to me Keith ,doesn't this just want to make you get up and dance .

RE: The Allegiance has Landed!
John, I think the guys here are trying--mind you, everyone is now calling for their 2005 orders and they're bombarded with this type of call all day and everyday. Can be quite stressful and I also feel for them.
Not much they can do if the bow isn't here. Also I guess BowTech is in a similiar position there in the USA--they're also trying to make everyone happy--UNFORTUNATELY as humans we will fail one time or another---it just so happens that 'I've' had to experience this two years in a row. Just the kinda luck I've got--wouldn't want to walk in my shoes would ya? Haven't started dancing as yet--but, listening to allot of music.:D |
RE: The Allegiance has Landed!
Yes Keith your probably right about that ,just kind of thought it seem's funny this could be happening to you 2 year's in a row ,it sure must be frustrating . I think I'll just wait and get me a new one next season .Good luck Keith and i hope you get your new bow soon . I'm just kind of trying to figure out what kind of music your listening to ,just to figure out how long your gonna have to dance LOL

Hey ampahunter you were right my bow came in today and it was a 28 i dont know what append but i will keep it that way because last year i bought a patriot dually 27 inch draw lenght(thats why i order a 27allegiance) and i measure the AMO on it and it was 27 3/4. I heard that the 2005 bowtech are right on on for the AMO draw lenght. So i will try it that way and if its too long i will just change the cam.[:@] |
