I got my 70/30 Allegiance today and I wish I had gone with the 80 lbs. I had only drawn the Defender when I made my choice and the draw did seem a little stiff up front on it. After drawing the 30" Allegiance I can't believe such an easy drawing bow is so fast. My BC said 321. I couldn't find my dead nuts 350 gr arrow, but I did have a 345 gr arrow that shot 325 fps. I use the same Heavy Duty Pro Shop Meter by Custom Chrono that Bowtech uses.
I set it up with a GKF Infinity and the Bowtech Wild Thing stabilizer and it's ready to roll.
I had to wait a good while to get it, but I assure anyone who reads this: It is WELL worth the wait. You will not be dissappointed.
Here's what I got.......
345 gr = 325 fps
360 gr = 318 fps
375 gr = 313 fps
403 gr = 305 fps
440 gr = 293 fps
470 gr = 284 fps
Pretty much +1 fps/3 gr arrow weight reduction. After looking at these #'s it looks like I'm right on with the BC.
Now some Carbon Fiber 80 lb limbs and this thing will be hell on wheels!

I ordered it before Christmas. Looking back it seemed longer at the time than it actually was. A couple of months isn't that long compared to a lot of companies. Now I think they are catching up, so I would expect the wait to be less for recently placed orders.

I'm getting too old Russ. I do think that the 80 lbers would be the perfect blend of power and comfort. I don't know if shooting the BK's for so long has me conditioned or what, but this 70 lbs sure doesn't feel like it. Silky smooth, rock steady hold, solid wall, blistering speeds............it's a good time to be someone who loves bows. I say the same thing every year when I shoot the latest Bowtech offering...."This is the Best bow I've ever shot".....and I mean it everytime. Over the past 5 years they have been able to raise the bar each year and improve on improvements, and continue to out-do themselves.
BTW, I tied in a nock and took off the eliminator buttons and got it up to 326 IBO.
Daddy likes me some Bowtech!
