Allegiance speed
Can someone give me a rough estimate of what I would get out of the Allegiance. It would be set up with 28" draw, 375 gr. arrow, peep, loop and whatever else comes on the string. I would shoot 70 plus pounds. I would hope it would come in heavy, around 74#. Are they running heavy at all or pretty close to what they are rated at? Let me know what you think.
Thanks,
Greg.

Greg,
Usually they are within about a pound of specs.......74# is probably a little high to expect from a 70# peak....your alternative would be to just get an 80# model and turn it down.
An educated guess? At 28"/70#/350gr you could expect about 306-308fps probably .......add 25 grs for your 375gr arrow and it'll be right around 298-300fps out of the box.At 74# you should be back closer to that 308fps mark.
Add in your peep (loop would be a wash vs. the brass nock set and eliminator buttons you'd remove) and subtract a couple more fps but not much if you go with a light style like a Fletcher Tru-Peep.

RE: Allegiance speed
I shot a 60 and a 70 pounder. According to the scale at the shop, neither would go over one pound more of the stated draw weight.
I would guess you would hit in the 290's give or take a little with your stated parameters.

RE: Allegiance speed
Thanks guys. Thats what I was looking for. I was trying to figure some KE and was using 295 fps as a rough estimate. So i was fairly close. I can't believe what kind of numbers I came up with. Now I have to decide between the Switchback and the Allegiance.
