Someone I talk to has shot this bow, and says its virtually shock free, and a buttload quieter than an Oneida
Hmmm....Thats interesting. Because Ive been told that my 10 YEAR OLD Oneida was very quiet
[:-]
Also, I had an Oneida Phantom X-80 and I am guessing it's about 10 years old and it's a lot of things but quiet ain't one of them.

If the bows were stock, yes they are loud, Oneidas that is. If you set them up correctly, and know what your doing, they are whisper quiet.
Those were someone elses words, not mine, I have never shot the bow, I dont know anything about them.
Why did you decide to sell your Phantom? Personally, I love mine. I know you wont believe it, but I would pick this bow over any new wheeley bow. Ofcourse, Id probly choose the new wheely, and then sell it, and buy a new Black Eagle, or buy my Phantom back. I havent had any problems with it, ZERO, in the 6 months Ive had it.

Oneidas arn't by nature very quiet, but i am sure that there are many ways to control the sound, you yourself even admitted that they were loud. Maybe no chainsaw lound, but you get the idea.

I have a gas powered chain saw that is quieter than the Oneida I used to have
On that bow design...it's a good thing you don't need a bowpress...it looks god awful to work with. Heck, I still don't know how to do jack on a bow with a single cam, let alone with <starts counting....gives up> that many cams![:-]

I called the # on their website today and spoke with the designer/maker. He is a super nice guy and spent a lot of time talking to me and answering question. I have heard from others that shot it at the ATA that it is very quiet and shock free.
The retail is $749
I like the concept. Dimensionally the top and bottom halves (above and below the nock)are mirror images, so the nock is in the exact center between axles.
I think when you have a new design, the important thing is to get it into the hands of as many shooters as possible to let word of mouth spread, and I don't think a $749 price will allow that to happen.
BTW, IBO is 300-310

Yes, I am very defensive. Im sorry if I come off sounding like a jackass. It's just that I get fed up with the crap said about Oneida's. 90% of the crap said is from someone whos sisters botfriends cousins cousin once shot an Oneida and SAID they were loud or had to do alot of repairs to them.
