RE: Knotless D Loop
I've thought about trying one of these. I just don't like to press my bow (Bowtech Liberty) if it is not absolutely necessary. I've heard too many horror stories of cracked limbs with VFT bows.

Sooner or later you have to change your string. That would be a good time to try one. They cost $8.99 each from Cabelas. OUCH!!!! You can make one yourself for pennies. Here is a pic of one I made with diamondback serving. Takes about 10 minutes to make.

RE: Knotless D Loop
I tried making one of those last summer. However, I could not get it tight on the string, it would spin on the string and therefore it would move up and down a little bit.

RE: Knotless D Loop
O.K------let me get this straight, you have to take your string off and slide it on? [&:]

Are the knots really that bad? What is wrong with knots?

RE: Knotless D Loop
I was wondering the same thing. Whats wrong with tieing one on? I'v never had one come loose tho I'v heard of them breaking if someone keeps shooting one thats frayed. I went thru 2 this year & it would seem unconvienient to have to press your bow every time you needed a loop.

RE: Knotless D Loop
extreme1, Yes you have to press your bow to install. It is worth it if it does not stretch and wear out. If you shoot with one knot on each side of the string sometimes a knot will touch your face due to anchor point. Shoot alot and that spot gets sore quick. I have had trouble with regular D loops slipping. I tie them with small diameter serving. I haven't tried any of these yet. Don't want to mess with my hunting setup until season is over next week.

RE: Knotless D Loop
Im ordering a new string for my bow this weekend i hope so maybe i'll check into these a little further.:)
Now if you dont want it on for whatever reason it can be cut off like a regular d loop? |
