Season opens sept. 21 here in Ky. Im pumped, my bow is fine tuned to the max and so am I. I got stands placed everywhere. I gotta feelin its gonna be a great season.....Anyways , heres my setup:

Interestingly enuff...I FINALLY made up my mind and got my hunting set-up full prepared today after all the bows I've been through...

Originally I had it up on Ebay, but my winning bidder did not read my auction description carefully, and I declined the sale because of his locale, and method of payment...Anyhoo...I figured it was some kind of sign that I should take it out into the woods this year so....

Bowtech Patriot. 60 Lbs. 29&quot; draw (set for 65% letoff).

String loop with Scott Rhino Release.

Fletcher 3/16&quot; tru-peep.

2 String Leeches.

Scout Mountain Spike Millenium (with the glow in the dark pin..not tritium).

Doinker 4&quot; stabilizer with 3 oz of tox endcaps in the aft mount for counter-balance.

NAP Quicktune 3000 micro-rest.

Gametracker Terminator Hunter Select 45/60 shafts (first time in god knows how long I haven't used ACC's. They group quite well to 40, good enough for the area my blind is in). They have vanes on em now, but I'll be switching to feathers.

100 Grain Rocket Steelheads.

Bohning Lynx Quick detach quiver.

Bomar SuperSlide.

Limbsavers.

Arrow weight (with vanes): 398 grains.
Arrow speed: 267 FPS.

Finally got it all silenced up with Moleskin on the window, and around the riser at the grip. Took it to the local shop, shot 10 times at a spot target at 20 yards..and shot 10 X's (not just the X ring..the X itself..not bad for my piss poor right eye, and no scope.More than any onecam I've onwed, I can just pick up the Patriot even after not shooting it for a long period of time, and shoot it extremely well. It's earned it's spot in the woods <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

I am going to start out with the bowtech blackhawk set at 63lbs, using some 3-39acc's, with the razzorring broadhead or the buckbuster broadhead. Cosmic sight, cheap tru-fire finger release, stabilizer that came with it, sims stuff, and fletcher peep. My secret weapon is a string made by a guy I just discovered, its better then winners choice, plus its cheaper. If this fails, i will pull out the bk2 set at 63lbs, muzzy rest, same arrows, sims stuff, same release.

Pabowhunter, I'm shocked! What happened to the Hoyts? Is that a buckmaster G2? How's it shoot? I noticed a lot of sims on that bugger.

Nope, I don't have a Hoyt right now and actually haven't had one since back in May or so. Since then I have tried more of the different manufacturers' bows to get a good feel for what is out there. Parker, Jennings, Bowtech, Buckmasters, etc... have all come and gone. I am happy with this one for now....but there is an unclaimed Havoctec down on the local pro shop's rack just beggin' for me to take it huntin'....<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

I notice your limb savers are set at different distances--i wasn't aware you could do this.I always had mine set the same--does it make that much diff.?by the way--SWEET LOOKING SET-UP.

Actually, the limbsavers are set up at the same distance from each limb tip but different distances from the respective eccentrics since the idler wheel and single cam are different sizes. This has always seemed like the logical way to set up the limbsavers on this type of single cam but, admittedly, I haven't tinkered with that yet to see if placing the &quot;top&quot; one closer to the idler would make any difference.

Something else I found interesting is that both times I installed the PSE NV system on different bows I had an increase in peak draw weight. On a Buckmaster G2 the peak draw weight went from 68 lbs to 70 lbs and on this Epic Extreme it went from 63 lbs to 66 lbs. Interesting...<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

This is also my first real experience with a Vertical Pin sight. I have looked at them in the past as well as shot a few bows with them on but I have never actually put one on one of my bows. So far I am reasonably impressed. The real test will come this October 5th...<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>:)

Thanks for the explanation--that makes sense--i've been just measuring from string to limbsaver.Now i'm gonna go measure from limb tips and try that spacing--see what happens with it.I think i learn something just about every time i read these posts--thanks again.
