From what I get out of it he has two, and bought one from a third person. Unless he returned the other one already.

Man, that sucks Kelly. It blows when you can't even be nice to people any more. You should have let me know about needing a bow to hunt with though. I would have lent you my mighty might if you needed it. You would have had to change the modules though, but I wouldn't have cared. I only hunted once or twice, I could have done without my bow for a little while. And I know where you work and hang out!;)

Your a better man than me, that's all I have to say. I wouldn't send my bow to someone I have never met in another state. I'm fairly trusting, but not that much.

I hope things work out. If you want to visit the guy I would ride along with you for support if you wanted. Or just to watch:D.

i think this is what he means by 2 bows. if it would have been just one bow i would think that it was just bad luck but 2 bows? that is what makes me think he might, im not saying he did but he just might have stolen the bows. i sure hope thats not the case.

Another guy let him borrow a bow as well (I won't say who as it's not my place but you probably know)....so that's 2 Bowtech's he's got "borrowed" to hunt with (more than I have now) AND he buys Pro 40 for a great price as well.

Now I'm getting a little worried. I PM the other guy that loaned him a bow. He's heard nothing but had the same "Buddy wants to buy your bow" story.

Says if I "get a hold of Ken, please tell him to call me."

A stand up guy lets people know he's having a little problem and explains that they will get thier property back or be compensated for it . This seemed fishy from the beginning with the two bows being accepted by Kbacon, why two ? Maybe as he reads the forum he will quickly get the bows in the mail heading back to thier owners if they haven't already been sold. Also those of you sticking up for him how well do you know him?
Sorry if I seem quick to condemn but it seems this is a growing trend taking advantage of honest generous people.

WOW. Trushot_archer you are one great man. Very few people would do what you did. I guess this is why. I hope you get your bow back without having to get into a fight.

When I bought my bow press from WAGS he sent it without waiting for the check to clear. He said he wouldn't want to be known as the guy who writes bad checks on the forums so he trusted me. At the time I only had about 200 posts. The check was good and I knew that but he didn't. What he did was TRUST me. I wonder if he might even think twice now. It is a shame one person can ruin it for so many.[:o] Good luck.

RE: Kbacon....was I a sucker?

I must say thanx to all you guys. I can't believe how generous people can be. Trushot_Archer and 500fps both offered to lend me bows so that I won't miss a day of season.. until I can find what I want... or till the '05 Bowtechs (363fps BK) are finally unveiled. Aussie-guy also offered me a great deal on his Patriot.. which was considerably less than what he had wanted for it.

After that lowlife stole my bow.. my opinion of people in general was quite low. But these acts of kindness have renewed my belief that there are still some good people out there.. and they're right here on this board. Thanx alot guys!!! You don't know how much this has meant to me.
kbacon acted like he was really appreciative at the time. If he truly was, he should atleast be man enough to make a phone call, shoot an email or pm to let you know what is going on, even if he is having some problems. Good luck getting your bow back.

BowTech Dually!

The thing is that I don't know Kbacon personally but I have converged a bit through this forum with him.I know that borrowing 2 bow's and buying another without returning the borrowed bow's sure does smell like something's wrong ,but I'm just hoping that this guy who has frequented the boards here among us and has been part of this forum isn't doing what it appear's that's going on here . I'm one of these guy's who alway's look's for the positive conclusion to a negative situation, I'd just hate to think that we have a wrong doer among us who has taken advantage of forum brother who's gone out of his way to help him .I'm just hoping that we're all wrong here .Although it doesn't look good. Hopefully Ken will have some answer's for us before we make hasty decision's on his personality.

RE: Kbacon....was I a sucker?

Well...I called him at work again tonight. he said he shipped the bow last "I think it was wednesday" but didn't have the confirmation number with him.

I gave him my cell again and asked him to please be absolutely sure he called me with the confirmation #...

I told him I was a little pissed and asked why he couldn't have just shipped it or called me to tell me he couldn't for whatever reason...he said "I would be too" and that he had a lot going on and "It wasnt high on his list of proirites"

He said he'd gone through an "Emergency move" and that's why the home phone was disconnected.

Sounds like I'll get it back.

Odd though...the bow I just bought came from California and was shipped on the thurs...arrived today.

Thanks for the support and I don't have any hard feelings or want any bad blood. Like I said, I just want my toy back.
