A sling shot, one of the wrist rocket types. I rigged one up with a string loop so I can attach my release to it. It helps a little with muscles and lets you get used to your anchor point and trigger release teqnique. Other than that just shoot the bow. Start at a lower poundage and work your way up. It takes a while to get the muscles built up, take your time and don't over do it. You will get there eventually.

I will probably work on your other questions tonight if no one beats me to it.

Kmac, I am sorry I have not gotten back with you. I have been a bit distracted lately. My grandfather has been in Hospice this week and passed away this morning. I should have my head back together again this coming week. I posted some links in a thread above you can check out if you like. They are the same ones I was going to give you.

Good luck,
Paul

I'm sorry to hear of your loss, Paul.

Don't feel rushed on my part. You have enough things to think about at this time. I've got plenty of time to get some of my questions answered.

My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.

Ken, I am working on a response to your original question on draw length. It is a bit more daunting and elaborate than I originally expected it to be. I will give you some links and stuff along with my opinions on the subject.

I am trying to give you a detailed responce on the subject with reference material as well. I want to explain draw length and how it effects your form, not just draw length as it pertains to the bow. There is a lot more to it then just your AMO draw length of the bow. You need to get the bow to fit you properly first, then check the draw length. Not set the draw length and adjust your form and shooting style to fit it.

It will take some time but I will get it done for you. It would be much easier to explain it in person rather than text. I am typing something up in Word now. I will either post it here or PM it to you. It will be long and detailed like most of my posts are;). I just hate throwing info out with out any explination for it. Sometimes you confuse people more than you help them.

Thanks for being patient, I just wanted to let you know I was working on it and didn't forget.

Paul
