Allegiance 7” brace, 50-60-70 lb., 25”-30” draw, 33 ¾” ATA, 4.3 lbs., 322-328 fps. IBO SRP $749.00. Still plan on test driving one though... |
RE: More 2005 BowTech Specs...
The Allegiance stood out to me too! Fast, medium length and a shootable brace height...
But how do you guys afford this stuff? My last truck -- NO JOKE -- was a old cherokee and I paid $500 for it. Runs fine! Great winter beater. Guess I'll have to re-mortgage my house ... or just save pennies :D |
RE: More 2005 BowTech Specs...
I am with you mj. I just look and drool. Look at it this way, the used market is always good coming from the guys who can afford the new bows. :D:D
By the way, the Old Glory looks just about perfect to me. JMAC |
RE: More 2005 BowTech Specs...
This bow would/will cost me more than I paid for my last 3 combined... :(
|
RE: More 2005 BowTech Specs...
I'll definately be sampling 2 or 3 of the new BowTechs. I'm going to try and hold off till after the late PA archery season in January though. :)

RE: More 2005 BowTech Specs...
For those who have actually purchased a BowTech, did you pay full SRP?
I'm reaching for any hope here....[X(] |
RE: More 2005 BowTech Specs...
Hey,,, all the cool kids are doing it:D You can be cool too,, just save your pennys, drink water instead of sodas, macaroni and cheese isn't all that bad either[&:]:D
|
RE: More 2005 BowTech Specs...
The defender's specs look great to me. Short, pretty fast, and respectable brace height. Plus its the cheapest at $649. Too bad that's $649 more than I'm willing to pay.[:@]
The joys of college.:D |

RE: More 2005 BowTech Specs...
Hey Pat...am I off base to assume the Allegiance and the Patriot have the same rise and the BK and the Old Glory as well? Just different limbs and cam options??
I'm really torn btw the Old Glory and the Allegiance already and I haven't even seen or shot them:) For those worried about price here's a hint... Everyone bug Frank to do a review on the one you want...than buy it cut rate from him in a month or two:D;) he's made of $$ Right?;):D |
RE: More 2005 BowTech Specs...
Liberty 7 ½” brace, 50-60-70 lb. 25 ½”-30 ½” draw, 33 ¼” ATA, 4.2 lbs., 296-304 fps. IBO, SRP $729.00 |
RE: More 2005 BowTech Specs...
That Allegiance does sound sweet. I'm so happy with my Liberty, I can't imagine getting rid of it so soon. Maybe next year.
|
RE: More 2005 BowTech Specs...
Swamp dog, I'm with ya.
The Solo Patriot LOST speed and brace height???? waas up wit dat? If I start moaning about torquing my bow it's because I'll be gripping my 04 Pat a little tighter. Get your 04's while they're hot??? |
RE: More 2005 BowTech Specs...
ORIGINAL: DaveC The Solo Patriot LOST speed and brace height???? waas up wit dat? Really, why did that happen and how??? DaveC I meant really in agreement not as a question[8D] |
RE: More 2005 BowTech Specs...
Techy, if your joking- I laughed. If not- I'm comparing the )04 solo Pat's specs to the 05's.
Not sure how or why, but the 04 Pat is listed at 7" brace 320-328 IBO The 05, according to this thread, is listed at 6 7/8” brace 318-326 IBO My 04 has not lost any speed, although it has always IMHO been a tad shy of the 320 mark- so maybe the new specs are just closer to what would be the truth in my case. The brace on my bow is 7", where did the 1/8" go in 05? |

RE: More 2005 BowTech Specs...
I failed to see a 32" draw length model available. A great line of new bows but I guess not for everyone !

Everyone bug Frank to do a review on the one you want...than buy it cut rate from him in a month or two he's made of $$ Right? Mental note- Don't sell any of my "used" bows to Trushot Archer.... :D The Jennings CK 3.4R should be up on Ebay by this weekend. ;) |

ORIGINAL: atlasman Man..........I paid $600 for my Patriot 2 years ago. Now it sells for $719?? YIKES You may have paid $600.00 for your 2002 Patriot but the SRP was $699.00 so they really haven't went up but just $20.00. |
RE: More 2005 BowTech Specs...
Please tell me those aren't really what we'll pay for these bows this year....
|
RE: More 2005 BowTech Specs...
Wow, the specs look good, maybe a little more speed out of each bow would be nice, but hey, I will take a smooth drawing, quiet, shock-free bow over a speed demon any day!
Prices seem high, but most shops sell them for a good bit less than the MSRP! I got my Liberty last year for $649.00 I really like the new offerings but I don't see anything that I would consider a big enough improvement over my Liberty to spend the extra cash, but I say that only because I havn't felt the new Equalizer cam! As soon as my pro-shop gets the Allegiance in I will be going to test shoot it, but it will have to be a big step up from my Liberty for it to come home with me! Come on Frank, test the Allegiance out and when you are done with it, just send it my way, I will even be nice and pay for the shipping :D |
RE: More 2005 BowTech Specs...
Frank,
I know the Old Glory is a little bit out of your length preference range but if you happen to get one and then decide to sell, shoot me a PM. |
RE: More 2005 BowTech Specs...
You guys are horrible. I do not even think I have sold any of my used bows to any of you and yet you still are on me like ticks on a deer's ...... :)
...and for the record, I am going with the Constitution as my first Bowtech for the year. [:-] :D |
RE: More 2005 BowTech Specs...
That's cool Frank....But my indoor league starts the firsy week of Jan.
Deadline brother...deadline;):D:D |
RE: More 2005 BowTech Specs...
Yea hopefully the dealers will give us a break. I gave $590 for my justice.
|
RE: More 2005 BowTech Specs...
Thanks for the info BOWTECHSHOOTER. sounds like an awesome line-up:)
|
RE: More 2005 BowTech Specs...
Screw it...it's just a christmas bonus. I'm ordering my Allegiance tomorrow. It's looks too good to not buy. Keep your fingers crossed that they'll have one in stock!!!!! I may test drive this one before the weekend.
|
RE: More 2005 BowTech Specs...
I'm gonna try to put my order for an Old Glory for Christmas in with the big man downstairs aka my dad sometime this weekend, my sales pitch is I need a faster bow for 3D and a more forgiving one for indoor (sure hope it works).... I love being a teenager :D
|
RE: More 2005 BowTech Specs...
Update: I called my shop today to see when the new bows would be in and if a BowTech rep would be by soon so I could go see the new bows. Not only is the rep not coming by, but my dealer hadnt seen any of the new specs or pics, he hadnt even heard of the Equalizer system! I got his email and emailed him the specs and pics of all the new stuff. But it seems really weird that the public knew about all this before a dealer did, what do you think? (maybe Pat can shed some light on this?)
